Espresso vs Coffee
Coffee beans are made of 30% water soluble compounds, the remainder generally being cellulose. Golden cup coffee is to extract the 18-21% good soluble compounds from the beans.
Espresso is a type of coffee, but coffee doesn't mean espresso. To be specific, espresso is brewed under high water pressure. It's ultra mini about 30ml (one shot) with concentrated flavor and chemicals. Besides, espresso topes with a beautiful golden crema.
There are types of coffee, drip coffee, pour-over coffee, cold brew, etc. But always espresso is the most condensed and commercial one, in cafe we would use espresso as the coffee base to make latte, cappuccino, etc.

Espresso Maker vs Coffee Maker
According to various brewing methods and coffee quality, there are many types of coffee makers. Most common are drip coffee maker, french press, moka pot, pour-over, espresso maker, etc.
Espresso maker involves electric and manual one. The electric one is widely used in cafes to provide high-quality espresso, while the manual one like STARESSO is more like a new concept which is not familiar to the public.
Coffee makers like french press, moka pot provide us a good solution to enjoy regular black coffee. Even though the outcome all looks the same, the working theories are different, thus the coffee quality would be different.

Electric Espresso Maker
Working Theory: High Water Pressure The electric machine provides constant pressure to force pressurized hot water through the coffee puck to brew espresso.
Working Pressure: 7-15 bar
Making Coffee: 20-30s
Working Condition: Electricity, Water, Fine Ground Coffee
Price: $300-$2800
Electric Espresso Maker is the best solution for espresso, however, the machine is usually big and the price is high. The maintenance tends to be complex and expensive.

STARESSO Manual Espresso Maker
Working Theory: Pump To Create Pressure STARESSO has our own patented segmented hydraulic extraction technology since 2013, which allows us to create high pressure simply by pumping it.
Would it be hard to pump? Nah. Not only we are using a user-friendly vertical pressing design that could greatly save our strength, but also the pressure is increased gradually by each pump.
Would it be safe to support the high pressure? Sure. Unlike most plastic coffee makers, here we are using sturdy stainless steel material to support the high pressure and prevent oxidation.
Working Pressure: 15-20 bar
Making Coffee: In 1 minute
Working Condition: Water, Medium-Fine Ground Coffee / Coffee Capsules
Price: $50-$100
STARESSO Portable Manual Espresso Maker provides the best solution to level up the daily coffee with low cost. Meanwhile, it's super compact and portable, which is perfect for home, office, travel, etc.

Moka Pot
Working Theory: Heat To Create Pressure The heat forces pressurized hot water through the coffee puck to brew regular coffee.
Working Pressure: 1-2 bar
Making Coffee: In 3-4 minute
Working Condition: Electricity/Fire, Water, Medium-Fine Ground Coffee
Price: $25-$55
Moka pot coffee is not as strong as espresso but still more concentrated than regular drip coffee. However, most moka pot is made of aluminum which is super easy to get rust.

French Press
Working Theory: Soak Ground coffee immersed in hot water
Working Pressure: 0
Making Coffee: In 4-5 minute
Working Condition: Water, Coarse Ground Coffee
Price: $15-$30
French press is the optimal option for regular coffee, little effort needed could enjoy large cup of coffee. However, over-extraction / under-extraction easily happens.
